How To Check Bootloader From Iphone Guide - GSM-Forum

You can use this guide to see what bootloader your Iphone has. I hope it will help those who need it.

Files and programs are included.

Install WINSCP
Login to winscp with your ip adres. Check your IP in settings, wifi and then blue arrow.
Username : root
Password: alpine
If you can’t connect, change file protocol

Put BBupdater in /usr/bin
Remove .txt from file
Click rightmouse on file and put permissions to 755
Close WINSCP

Open putty
Give ip adres and username (root) and password (alpine)
Put this in terminal:

launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
cd /usr/bin
bbupdater -v
launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

You can copy and past in putty (just click rightmouse to past)

Putty is now pinging your baseband and you will get something like this:

Resetting target...
pinging the baseband...
issuing +xgendata...
firmware: DEV_ICE_MODEM_04.02.13_G
eep version: EEP_VERSION:208
eep revision: EEP_REVISION:1
bootloader: BOOTLOADER_VERSION:4.6_M3S2

can we check bootloader version on an unactivated iphone ?

do we need to install ssh ?

To check the bootloader the iphone have to be jailbreaked. If you have 1.1.2 you need to downgrade to 1.1.1 and then jailbreak.

lol damn a lot of time just to find out if it can be unlocked or not...

Dont try what you don't know or which has not been tested. You will end up with a bricked Iphone. My guess it's nothing new, and i dont even bother to try it.

How would you try it the rar just has a picture no software and I would not try until I heard it was real not fake do you know where to get the software like to see it ?

I did not even take the effort to see what's in. All programs can be found online, you just have to search and read.
