Inserting a different SIM does not result in "ENTER SUBSIDY CODE" prompt so I think user unlock via IMEI# is not possible (on the 850/1900 models anyway).
you can´t do it via soft you must buy a code ask raskal for it

Yes, the codes are available, but (on the 850/1900 models anyway) the firmware will not ask for the code when a different SIM is inserted.

Yes, the codes are available, but (on the 850/1900 models anyway) the firmware will not ask for the code when a different SIM is inserted.

Read above. Codes for "American" (North America/South America) F3's are currently worthless without a way to enter them.
Badillo suggested that the phones might ask for the code after a flash, but no one locally supports the F3 yet so I have no way to test. Even the local Motorola authorized repair facility had no information regarding the F3.
Smart-Clip can flash F3 & in support we have flashes for this i´m from Mexico maybe i cab test when i get one

This mean what if you flash not locked phone with flashes from support you will not get phone locked after flashing!

There are 3 ways to lock F3 to network:
1. Lock to network but accepting special code or reflash to unlock, if your mobile have this procedure it asks for subsidy code.
2. Lock to network not accepting special code but can reflash to unlock network, mobile with this procedure not asks for subsidy code.
3. Permanent lock not accepting special code nor reflash to unlock (Motorola Boot Module erased)

If after inserting a simcard from a different provider you notice the message "contact service provider", you will need to leave your phone on, at that "contact service provider" screen, for 1-3 hours. It will then switch from "contact service provider" to something like "enter subsidy password", and you can then enter your code. Just let it sit on the screen and dont touch any buttons during that time.

The rules are changed with the F3. None of what you wrote is true.
See Sihnam's post. There is a very good chance that the F3 can NEVER be unlocked, depending on the FW installed.

Seems like a better way to waste 13.99. :)
So far it looks like ONLY *SOME* UK F3s have the ability to be unlocked via SPK. For everyone else...buy another phone.
