I use n73 V 3.0704.1.0.1 with 1gb MINI-SD
last time use v 3.068....forgot
i never got hang on opening pict...
just sometime got hang after take a pict, then I want to delete it
as reminder, that happen when save taken pict to memory card
And the other thing...
dont save ur message into memory card... it will take very2 long time to open message! just save ur message into phone memory, then
if u want to keep it, use PC-suite, update both phone and PC message,
then ur message will be kept in PC, then u can save it!
for Contacts, use ur phone memory also... and if u dunt want to lose ur contacts during upgrade or flash ur phone, use pc-suite like the way saving the message, or u can just copy all of ur contacts to ur memory-card first
note : many people dont know that contacts saved in phone memory only,
BUT u can copy it into memory card. in case u flash ur phone,
u lose ur contacts just use copy "from memory card"
just that...

Well, let's try to be the first here to write proper English . I have a 2Gb Mini-SD card and it works flawlessly, although most of the space is filled with TomTom or MP3s, not pictures...

I've an N73 with a 1 GB SanDisk memory card. I used this card right from the beginning, i.e. I already used it with the very first firmware version of this phone (till today with FW 3.0649.0.0.1). If the memory card works or not heavily depends on the manufacturer of the memory card. I've very good experiences with SanDisk...

I have an N73 with 2Gb Kingston memory card. All works fine, sometimes I some paitient to open large documents or pictures, but if compare with other smartphones - looks great. (Before N73 was 6680, 6630, 6600, MPx200, SX1)

I never seen 4GB mini SD all cards with 4GB capacity are mini SDHC, and this format will not work in your phone.

The thing is N-Gage can support 4GB but why not N73? N73 is more powerful phone than N-Gage..
